Congratulations to the lady Panthers who on Sunday defeated the University of Missouri – St Louis Tritons in the Great Lakes Valley Conference final to win their first championship and earn the guaranteed berth in the NCAA Regional playoffs. The win came via penalty kicks, following a scoreless tie through regulation and two overtime periods. Junior Sarah Goodman sealed the victory as the fifth shooter, winning 5-4. Penalty shots were also completed by junior Chloe Moushey (#13 above), freshman Kelsy Long (#9 above), junior Melissa Perry and sophomore Micah Little (#8 above). Drury (15-4-3) will learn its destination and opponent when the NCAA reveals the post-season pairings at 4 p.m. Monday.
