A quick reminder that for those of you not headed North to the clash between the Bolivar Liberators and the Cassville Wildcats for the Class 2 District 5 title match, there’s a Division I men’s game available for your enjoyment this evening.
The UMKC Kangaroo’s are visiting for a non-Conference game against the Bears. Game time is 7:00 pm at Plaster Stadium.
The Bears are coming off their 0-1 loss to the #8 ranked Creighton Blue Jays Saturday (in Omaha). Central midfielder Omar Shoucair played for the first time as a substitute in almost five weeks (since UNLV September 22nd) and hopefully will be available for tonights game as well. Along with Justin Alford’s return, maybe the Bears can score some goals against their in-state rival.
The Kangaroo’s are part of the Mid-Continent Conference, along with previous MSU opponents Western Illinois, Oral Roberts and IUPUI. The ‘Roo’s lost to Bradley and Evansville earlier this season while tying Drake. Most recently they lost to Oral Roberts, 1-3 at ORU.
The Kangaroo’s feature four players from the KC Brass PDL team, including first team defender Josh White (#5) in the central defense. The top scorer is a sophomore from Florida, Bryan Perez (#10) with five goals while freshman John Sosa (#11), also from Florida, has two goals and four assists.
