Another birthday for Springfield’s best soccer player. The Penn State Nittany Lions, for whom Ann is an assistant coach, are ranked #13 nationally and host Purdue Friday night. The game will have a live webcast, maybe we can get a glimpse of Rachel Lavoy (Kickapoo 2006) as well. Rachel has been traveling with the team although she hasn’t broken into the lineup for the nationally ranked squad.
The game could determine the Big Ten regular season champion with Purdue at 6-0-1 while Penn State is at 6-1. Indiana is one game behind that and will play PSU on Sunday so it’s a big weekend for our hometown girls.
