In another example of the competitive level in the Midwest Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) the SBU Bearcats avenged their earlier loss to the MSSU Lions by winning 1-0 in overtime Friday evening. The game winner came from Atefeh Heivary (pictured in black, in a game against Central Missouri this year) in the 98th minute. She certainly found it to be more satisfying than the previous effort against MSSU.
SBU’s next challenge will be their rematch with the Central Missouri Jennies, currently ranked #7 nationally and winner’s by a 1-0 score when they visited SBU in late September. The Lions travel to Missouri Western.
