Springfield Catholic traveled to Cassville Monday night and looked to avenge an earlier loss to the Wildcats in the Monett Tournament. The Irish came out strong and controlled play for much of the first half. Neither team was able to score and the half ended with the score 0-0. In the second half, Catholic got on top first with a goal by Cullen Barr assisted by Justin Bowenschulte. Uziel Franco was able to tie up the game on an unassisted goal, and Ryan Schlichtman got the game winner, heading the ball into the net on a long throw-in by Aaron Jamieson. Franco provided a third insurance goal for the Wildcats on an assist by Schlichtman. The Wildcats’ record remains unblemished at 10-0. Springfield Catholic and Cassville will meet again next Monday in Springfield.

Hillcrest Hornets - 1
Ozark’s TJ Miner scored in the first half, on an assist from Gabe Axtell for the game winner. In the second half, Jake Lumby scored on a header from Miner’s corner kick and Robbie Curtis got the third on Axtell’s second assist of the game. Hillcrest’s goal was scored by Bryce Collier. Ozark goalkeepers Jason Taylor shut out Hillcrest in the first half and Andrew Presnell gave up 1 goal in second half.
