The men are on the road this weekend, playing in the Level 3 Hurricane Classic tournament at Tulsa. The schedule includes Oral Roberts University this evening at 6:00 p.m. and the University of Tulsa at 2:35 p.m. on Sunday. The Bears are ranked #10 in the Midwest Region in the latest poll, while Tulsa is #3 and Western Illinois is #6.
Oral Roberts dropped their third straight game, to Loyola-Chicago, by a 1-0 decision to fall to 1-3-0 on the year. The team was picked to finish second in the Summit League, behind Western Illinois who tied MSU 1-1 in their game last weekend.
Tulsa is also ranked nationally, at #23, just ahead of SLU.
The Tulsa men’s soccer team is off to a great start this season, boasting a 3-1 mark, with wins over Wisconsin (3-1), Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2-1) and Georgetown (1-0). The Golden Hurricane’s only loss came at the hands of third-ranked Virginia (2-0). This is TU’s best start since opening with a 3-1 mark in 2003, a year that saw Tulsa advance to the NCAA Tournament second round.
