Weekend High School Results

In Rolla, they got four games in on Saturday. I hope that new pitch held up well. The Championship game featured a pair of Ozark Conference foes.

Kickapoo Chiefs - 3
Rolla Bulldogs – 2

Ryan Moses scored for Kickapoo two minutes into the game, and Skylar Russell put the Chiefs up 2-0 at the 20 minute mark. Tyler Sinnott narrowed the lead to 2-1 just five minutes later and Kam Maddy tied the game with a PK with nine remaining in the half. Zack Hay scored the game winner for Kickapoo off a Chief corner kick with 22 minutes remaining in the match.

In earlier games at Rolla:
Rolla Bulldogs – 10
Alta Vista – 0

Kickapoo Chiefs – 11
Dixon – 0

3rd Place game
Dixon – 6
Alta Vista – 1

West Plains Zizzers – 10
Poplar Bluff Mules – 1
In the 8th minute of the game, Stuart Ziegler’s pass sent Justin Scicluna in on goal. Justin neatly tucked his shot into the corner for a 1-0 lead. The assists was Ziegler’s 21st of his career, setting a new Zizzer Team Record for Career Assists. Ziegler wouldn’t stop there. He would break two more records before the night was through.

Updated – Waynesville was at the Jefferson City Helias Crusaders Tournament this weekend.

The Tigers lost on Friday night by the score of 1-0 to the Crusaders on Friday night.
On Saturday, they got two wins, beating the DeSmet JV (seniors and juniors not on the Varsity) 2-1 and KC Van Horn 4-2. Defeating the DeSmet JV is not an easy thing to do, I recall the Glendale Falcon’s losing 1-0 the last time they faced them, in 2004 when they made it to the Quarterfinals.
