The Ladies began practice Monday with sophomore Karissa Nedoma (Kickapoo 2006 - pictured) representing Springfield for our local Division 2 squad. The Panthers finished 9-6-3 overall last season for its most victories since 1998 in its first season under the guidance of Bilbao.
Joining the Panthers in the fall will be Sarah Colvin-Fritz, a sweeper from Lindbergh High School in St. Louis; Kayla Hogan, a defender/sweeper from Blue Valley Northwest High School in the Kansas City area; Jessie Sanderson, a goalkeeper from Jefferson City High School; Laura Welch, a goalkeeper from Fort Zumwalt West in the St. Louis area; Meredith Hall, a forward/defender from Sapulpa (Okla.) High School; Kelsy Long, a center-mid from Bishop Miege High School, also in the Kansas City area; Alyssa Reynolds, a midfielder/forward also from Lindbergh in St. Louis; and Alyssa Allcorn, a midfielder/defender from Cole Camp who played for Applewood Christian in Sedalia.
The Panthers were chosen ninth in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
