I found this on the Columbia Tribune website
The Mid-Missouri Carrera under-18 girls soccer team competed in the College Search Kickoff Showcase last week in Muscatine, Iowa. Carrera was one of 14 bracket champions in a field of 48 teams.
Team members include Columbia’s Liz Gayer, Kelsey Eckenrode, Alex Litofsky, Kelsey Mescher, Morgan Pitchford, Lauren Robb, Liz Robb and Bethany Rojas; Jefferson City’s Danielle Baumgartner, Katie Denning, Kelsey Mueller, Caty Newbold, Kelsey Sanders and Melissa Young; Mexico’s Sarah Hotop; Waynesville’s Lauren Kelly, Tasha Lord, Shanna Neeley and Katie Pritchard; and Kirksville’s Mackenzie Kelly.
Paul Pitchford, Art Rojas and Mark Robb coach the team.
Update – my poor manners mean that I neglected to thank Dave Neely for use of his photo to illustrate this story. As he notes in the comments, there are 125 you can enjoy at his Flickr site. Thanks Dave!

The girls defeated teams from Iowa, Wisconsion and tied a team from Dallas. Waynesville girls Shanna Neeley and Katie Pritchard contribued to the scoring and defensive duties. What a great tournaments and absolutely the best 8 championship fields I’ve ever seen. I recommend this tournament for the college coaching exposure and the top level of competitive play.
