Springfield Soccer Select soccer team is looking for 1-2 skilled players to join our team.
Coaching information: Jim Cook has more than 25 years of coaching experience in Springfield. He’s coached this particular team for the past 6 years. His goal is to take this team of U13 boys to the Missouri Cup in April 2008. In the last six years, the team has won 9 out of 12 Springfield league seasons. Our tournament record gives us 9 first place wins in various cities since 2003.
Team record: This spring the team took first place at both the Metro Strikers Cup in Maryland Heights Missouri and Kansas City’s Salsa Soccer Tournament. Our Metro Strikers tournament included a win over U-12 Scott Gallagher-Holland, a team who had not suffered a loss in 2 years. In Springfield league play they finished first for fall 2006 with 8 wins in the U12 division. In Spring 2007, the team played in the U14 division and came out with 6 wins and 2 losses.
Team fees: The only fee from the group is a $15 participation fee. League, tournament and uniform expenses are separate.
