Word from our neighbors to the West, Missouri Southern in Joplin announces the signing of eight players for the 2007 Fall Season, including a Cassville Wildcat:
Nate Evans is a 5′8 defender from Eagle Rock, Mo and played four years for coach Terry Jamieson at Cassville High School. A first team all-district and all region selection in 2005, he was a second-team all-state selection that year, helping the Wildcats to a third place finish in the state tournament. In 2006, he was a first team all-district and all region selection, and was honorable mention all-state. He was also selected for the Southwest Missouri all-star team. Evans was also a sprinter in track for four years at Cassville.
Yep, Nate is a Southwest Soccer All-Star, along with teammate Hector Valenzuela. Will you be out to support the best seniors in the region on June 21st?
By the way, here’s what his Coach/AD Terry Jamieson thought of Nate:
Nate was the most intense player I think we ever had. His hustle and hard work set a standard for the others. I think MSSU will have to play him eventually just because he has no concept of how to quit. Great person, great player, and moreover an example of how to be kind to others.
Our team will miss Nate.
