The SpringHigh Select U17 team traveled to the 12th annual Avalon Mother’s Day Classic in St. Louis this past weekend and went undefeated, bringing home the first place hardware. They started with a 8-1 win over Emil Dragicevic (St. Louis). The offense was paced by Justin Rogers’ hat trick with Jacob Lumby adding two goals of his own. Jared Moore, Kyler Temple, and Robbie Curtis rounded out the scoring.
The second match against Moline United (Ilinois) was a 1-0 victory. SpringHigh dominated possession in the game with Lane Chapman scoring the only goal. The final match against Arsenal - Cross (St. Louis) was a 2-0 victory. Jared Moore had the first goal of the game and Robbie Curtis put the game out of reach with the second goal of the match. Adam Legg (goalkeeper) and the stingy defense turned in a stellar performance, giving up only one goal in the three game set and allowing very few quality chances.
The picture was taken right after the trophy presentation. The boys starting with the front row left to right: Trevor Pedigo, Lane Chapman, Kyler Temple, Chris Aiken. Second row left to right: Shekhar Kramer, Jared Moore, Trae Kalbaugh, Justin Rogers, Jacob Lumby. Third row left to right: Brett Murray, Robbie Curtis, Mark Irwin, Alex Moffe, Adam Legg, Quincy Conduff, Clint Evenson, and Coach Alf Bilbao.
Hat tip to Paul Moore for the reporting effort.

Good job guys! Another Springfield success story.
Kyler Temple actually had two goals in the first match and Robbie Curtis did not score in the first match. Sorry for the mistake Kyler!
