What an evening it must have been in Rolla tonight!
Lebanon Yellowjackets - 1
Glendale Falcons - 0
The Yellowjackets repeated their feat of earlier this season, shutting out the Falcon’s to earn what I’m guessing is their first District Final opportunity. The goal was scored by senior Courtney Chodes. It came from a a corner kick that was deflected out to her at the top of the 18 in the 26th minute. The Falcons outshot Lebanon 10-5 on goal and 20 to 8 for the game but this is the time of the year when senior leadership can make the biggest difference.
Rolla Bulldogs - 2
Waynesville Tigers - 1
Rolla’s goals came in the first half, the first in the 36th minute from Calli Collier with an assist by Ashley Kerr and the second in the 39th minute from Jaclyn Standfast with an assist by Kaitlin Bramel. Waynesville’s goal came in the 46th minute from Katie Pritchard.
The District Final on Thursday evening will be at 5:00 pm and features the Rolla Bulldogs vs Lebanon Yellowjackets at Rolla’s new field. These two teams met on May 8th when Rolla won 3-1 and knocked Lebanon from contention for an Ozarks Conference title.

Senior leadership had nothing to do with the Glendale loss Wednesday. It takes a team to win! You’ve got to have girls with gutts and good attitudes to make a diffeance and we only had a few of those this year. All the pep talks and luches can’t make girls play hard if they don’t care. Mindy and Laura work their butts off this year and to say that their leadership was in question is not your place when you don’t Know what they have tried to do.
I agree with Nancy. How dare you slam these senior girls when you have know idea what went on at practice or anywhere else. You have hated Laura since her freshman year and have wriiten nothing but nasty stuff about her. Yes everyone knows it’s your website and you can say what ever you want, But this time you are a TRUE ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact a BIG FAT ONE.
I know emotions are running high after a distrist loss so I am going to assume the comment was misunderstood. I think Ole was trying to elude to the leadership of Lebanon SENIOR Courtney Choade for stepping up and putting one in the back of the net. I am a strong believer that everyone in Springfield knows how strong the Glendale team is this year and what an upset the game was. And the props should go to Courtney. In my opinion, Laura is one of the top goalkeepers in the area.
Thank you to Hogan your commit was well appreciated. I think everyone knows who’s OLE’s commit was for. Lebanon out played Glendale thats a fact. Lebanon played very well and they very much earned to play in the finals and that’s not the issue. The issue is with Steve Olsen calling the Seniors of Glendale faulires as group leaders. Now it’s your turn to stand up and be a man ( if you can be a man)
As someone without a “horse in the race” I read this article and didn’t pick up a sense of slamming Glendale. As a matter of fact he stated that Glendale outshot
Lebanon 20-8 so it doesn’t seem that Lebanon outplayed Glendale necessarily. Sounds like Glendale played fine and some shots just didn’t find the net. When you compliment one group of seniors, you are not necessarily slamming the other.
I’m sorry Brian, Glendale did not play GREAT!!!!!! as you seem think they did by comments made by whomever. Glendale played awful . Where you there ? Glendale shot alot everytime directly to the goalie and very shot was very soft. Glendale played awful and that’s a fact.
OK Julie, you’ve had your say. Now I’m turning off comments because you are saying things about your daughters teammates that could be deleted under my ‘golden rule’ policy as noted here. You still have a Post Season banquet to attend, remember.
