The Discovery Center in downtown Springfield is holding a workshop on Friday evening that might interest parents and kids looking to combine soccer with some science exploration, a great combination in this geeks opinion. Here is the description
Join us to assemble your own robot and learn about electricity, gear mechanisms, circuits, and more. We’ll guide you through assembly of the robot, and then we’ll test them out! At the end of the evening, you can take your robot home with you.
Registration: We encourage one parent per registered child to attend. Registration fee for each parent/child duo is $15 for members and $20 for non-members, plus a fee for the robot. Pre-registration and prepayment is required. Register early to reserve your spot by calling Guest Services at 862-9910 x706.
Friday May 4, 6pm-8pm: Soccer Jr. robot fee is $27.50
Recommended for ages 8 and up.
