On Saturday, April 7 the Kiwanis Club of Pulaski County will celebrate 20 years with the Youth Soccer Program.
In the summer of 1986 Kiwanian Dr. William Saling brought the idea of a youth soccer program to the club after his children had participated in the Lebanon soccer program. Kiwanian Nelson Morgan volunteered to begin the project, with the help from Dan Slais and Rick Vernon.
Nelson Morgan is still involved, currently working with the Waynesville HS Tigers JV team. I’m disappointed I can’t find a photo in my archive, I’ll make certain to fix that the next time we see the Tigers. Congrats and Thanks Coach!
