The Catholic Fightin’ Irish visit the Kickapoo Chiefs tonight. JV kicks off at 5:00 pm, Varsity around 6:30 pm. Will the small school get their first ever win against the SW-side powerhouse? By the way, remember this game from two years ago? Or this interview after last years game with current seniors Elle Holtman and Christina Ogden.
Alternately, Kickapoo grad Kiley Cirillo brings his Division II squad to the Missouri State University campus. The Missouri Southern Lions will play a Spring season friendly against the Missouri State Bears. Kickoff is 7:00 pm at Plaster Stadium, on the MSU Campus (Grand Avenue, just West of National Avenue).
Trevor Wachsman brings the Lady Lions to town on Saturday. 1:00 pm kickoff at Plaster Stadium against the Lady Bears.
On the North side, the Drury Panthers women’s squad will host Arkansas State and Oral Roberts University at Harrison Stadium. UPDATE – 9am kickoff for Drury vs ASU, 12 noon for ASU vs ORU and the Panthers come back for a second match at 2pm vs ORU.
For a good read, check out ASU Lady Indian player Mary Geels, a sophomore midfielder from McKinney, Texas, who is documenting her team’s off-season progress through a diary. ASU has a new head coach, Derek Pittman (on left in photo) who was the GK coach for Mizzou prior to taking this position. This is the fifth in a series of excerpts from Mary’s diary.
