The Fightin’ Irish recovered from their tough loss on Monday by gaining a measure of revenge on a traditional Class 1 rival, Warrensburg (#9 in Missouri in 2006). With balanced scoring, getting goals from Anna Delong, Sarah Martin and captains Tara Bailes and Elle Holtman, the Irish were able to overcome two direct kick goals by Warrensburg’s All-State player Anna White, who is a University of Nebraska signee.

Neosho Wildcats - 0
The Tigers improved to 2-0 with the win over the Wildcats. Waynesville outshot Neosho 13-2 with goals by Katie Pritchard, Erica Combs and Tash Lord, assists by Mallory Omundson and Lord. Crystal Hutchinson recorded the shutout.
“I thought we connected our passes well and moved to continue finding space. Orielle Thomas and Sade Boswell both had excellent games tonight shutting down Katie Rodriguez. However, we need to continue getting better defensively as a team if we want to complete with the class programs of the area.”
Nixa Eagles - 4
West Plains Zizzers - 0
The Eagles respond to their season opening loss against Lebanon on Wednesday with a shutout of their own against the Zizzers. Goals from Jo Pavlowsky (39th min), Stephanie Allen (44th), Jacklyn Finley (68th) and Jessie Yach (70th) seal the deal. Nixa outshot West Plains 21-4, with shots on goal 14-2.
Rogers (AR) - 2
Kickapoo Chiefs - 0
Rogers (9-2) took advantage in the second half, scoring two goals in a span of two minutes, 29 seconds to take the victory. “We felt at the end of the first half that our fitness was ahead of theirs,” Rogers coach Chris Leshinski said. “We wanted to keep moving the ball around and try to wear them out.”

Nixa’s opening game was a 10-0 victory against Central. The 5-0 loss at Lebanon was their second game.
