Glendale Falcons Shut Out Springfield Catholic 2-0

In a game of two halves, the Fightin’ Irish of Springfield Catholic saw their hopes of an upset against their large school opponent dashed on a 45th minute goal by freshman Lindsey Sprouse. A late counter-attack goal scored by sophomore Jeni Frewin sealed the win. A measure of the intensity both teams brought to tonights match could be seen in the reactions of the players following the match as Glendale excitement was matched by Catholic’s frustration. The West Plains Zizzer’s opened at home against Mountain Home (AR) Bombers. The Bombers won the game 3-1 and moved to 4-6 on their season (Arkansas begins play in February).
