It was a busy evening at Lake Country Soccer on Friday evening as the Champions Challenge Tournament opened with a pair of Senior Boys games. In addition, the Springfield Demize were holding tryouts for their Reserve team. The tryouts also offered an opportunity for the regular team players who are in town to spend some time working together, which in this case included a scrimmage against the Fall Amateur League champions Union Latino.
Head Coach Armen Tonianse was in town, on Spring break from Western Illinois where he is finishing his Master degree program in Sports Marketing. In addition, local players Josh Florez, Brian Fishback, Atila Mota, Kian Sterling, Spencer Smith and Andrew Clifton were on hand along with several out-of-town visitors looking for an opportunity to to play on the PDL squad this summer. John Spence, Willard 2008, from the Reserve team joined in for the scrimmage.

Friday April 6th at Lake Country Soccer in Springfield 6:00-8:00pm
Saturday April 28th at Lake Country in Springfield from 6:00-8:00pm
