Congratulations to the Springfield Demize who will be well represented this week at the United Soccer League (USL) Player Showcase in Tampa, FL. General Manager Chris Hanlon and Head Coach Armen Tonianse are participating as two of the ten Combine Team Coaches. Included in that list are fellow Heartland Conference representatives Casey Mann, Des Moines Menace and Tony Glavin, St. Louis Lions.
Three members of the organization are participating as players - former MSU player Jake Harris (#13 in video) , Brett Thomas and David Hanlon. They are part of a contingent of 192 players who were selected from over 300 applications.
TAMPA – This Sunday, December 17 United Soccer Leagues opens a new era in North American club development. The inaugural Men’s Player Showcase presented by UMBRO has been repeatedly upgraded to accommodate what has grown into an influential event. World-renowned clubs will meet the best amateur players North America has to offer on the event’s upgraded facilities at Ed Radice Soccer Complex in Northwest Tampa.

It is great to have our area represented in such a prestigious arena with Brett and David’s selection to the teams.
Best of luck to Chris & Armen on coaching their teams. I believe as of Tuesday afternoon Chris Hanlon’s team is the only one to remain undeafeted.
