Springfield’s finest soccer player, Ann Cook, celebrates her birthday today. She’ll celebrate in a familiar environment as the Nebraska Cornhuskers take on Loyola University – Chicago this evening in the final regular season match for the Huskers.
The Huskers are currently sixth in the Big 12 Conference (Mizzou is last) and defeated Oklahoma 1-0 on Sunday. They’ll play in the Big 12 Conference championship beginning next week, where they hold the record of five championship titles in the first ten years. Note that Ann’s father, Dr. Jim Cook, is looking to take his Pershing Generals to the Middle School championship the following week 
On a related note, the Missouri State Lady Bears will face off against Oklahoma on Thursday, to wrap up their regular season.
