Cassville Wildcats – 4
Monett Cubs – 0
It was with the sweet taste of revenge in mind that Cassville played host to Monett Thursday. Uziel Franco scored two goals in the first half. His first goal was unassisted and his second was assisted by Hector Valenzuela (who loves this site, right Hector?). In the second half, Ryan Schlichtman scored twice. One of his goal was assisted by Aaron Jamieson. Anthony Larson had the shutout in goal. Cassville’s record now stands at 11-4. The 4-1 loss at Monett early in the season now a dim memory.
Joplin Eagles – 3
Parkview Vikings – 2
The Vikings gave up three goals in the first 21 minutes to the Duncan brothers and were unable to come back despite outshooting Joplin 21-8. The Eagles move to 11-3 overall and 4-2 in the Ozark Conference while sending a message to the Southwest Region voters.
Marshfield Blue Jays – 7
Central Bulldogs – 1
All I got was the score and it could be off by a goal or two. I went out to cover the game this evening but apparently the JV game was canceled on short notice and there was nothing for me to shoot by the time I got to Cooper. Dang nab it.
West Plains Zizzers – 2
Nixa Eagles – 0
The Zizzers got a 70th minute PK by Justin Scicluna and a second in the 74th from Stuart Ziegler, assisted by Chris Saner, as they continue their run through Southwest Missouri competition with their win Thursday night. They visit Parkview on Tuesday!
Jeff City Helias Crusaders – 5
Rolla Bulldogs – 3
The Bulldogs scoring is increasing as the season progresses. Unfortunately they ran into a team that includes new Division I signee, Chris Miller, who is headed for Marquette. Helias got goals from five different players in the game.
Webb City Cardinals – 1
at Aurora Houn’ Dawgs – 0
The Cardinals got the goal they needed from Manny Alfaro in the 75th minute. They move to 6-6-1 on the season.
