Tourney Weekend

It seems everyone was traveling to tournaments this weekend, although I was able to dig up a couple of good stories I think (Northside represents!). Here’s what I’ve been able to glean regarding what’s been going on.

Bolivar hosted the Liberators Classic and faced off against the Waynesville Tigers for the second time in three years. Waynesville took their second straight title in the Classic with their 3-1 win over the Liberators.

The Liberators got to the championship game by finishing on top in the White Pool: 1. Bolivar (13) 2. Marshfield (9) 3. Central (0) while Waynesville did the same in the Blue Pool: 1. Waynesville (16) 2. Greenwood (6) 3. Warrensburg (0) Complete results available here.

Glendale and Parkview headed to Southeast Missouri, to take on Cape Central and Poplar Bluff. Parkview got a 2-1 win over the Mules of Poplar Bluff on Friday but otherwise the rain shut everything else down.

The Kickapoo Chiefs suffered a similar fate, getting in a single Saturday afternoon match against the Glenwood Titans, a 2-2 tie.

Joplin, Rolla and Camdenton were in Jefferson City for the Capitol Classic. Raymore-Peculiar took the championship over hosts Helias with a 4-1 win while the Jefferson City Jays took 3rd with a 3-0 win over the Rolla Bulldogs.
