The documentary chronicles the rise and fall of the New York Cosmos of the defunct North American Soccer League (NASL), with appearances by former Cosmos stars including Pele, Franz Beckenbauer, and Giorgio Chinaglia (who sparred with Eric Wynalda during the World Cup broadcasts this summer).
