Lake Country Soccer announces Youth Development Program

Lake Country Soccer – Kelly R. Ross, executive director for Lake Country Soccer, Inc., is pleased to announce, Lake Country Soccer has contracted with Jeremy Alumbaugh to oversee curriculum development and coaching education with Lake Country Soccer’s Youth Development Program (minis and juniors kickers program).

Alumbaugh is Director of Soccer Operations for the Springfield Soccer Club. He brings to the LCS Youth Development Program, professional coaching experience to enhance the organization, enjoyment and educational experience for LCS Youth Development Program participants.

The LCS, Inc., Youth Development Program introduces children between the ages of 4 to 8, to the fundamentals of soccer through educational oriented activity sessions and games. Sessions run on an 8-12 week schedule meeting four to six times for weeknight activities and four to six times on Saturdays for games. All sessions are conducted by professionals in an organized safe and fun environment . Parental attendance in strongly encouraged.

“Our Youth Development Program is one of our strongest assets in the Lake Country Soccer line-up. This enhancement improves the quality of the program. Jeremy’s coaching experience and organization strengthens the credibility of this program for our youngest members and their parents. This program aids in the continued growth and development of youth soccer in southwest Missouri,” Ross said.

Alumbaugh added, “The Springfield Soccer Club is pleased to be involved with the Lake Country Soccer Youth Development Program. Having an opportunity to help younger players receive a positive learning experience during their early soccer years is exciting for our coaching staff. It is our plan to have a positive influence on the younger soccer players as they begin their journey in finding out how much fun the world’s game is. With the administrative support of LCS and the coaching support of the Springfield Soccer Club this will be an outstanding program for the youth of southwest Missouri.”

About (Mr.) Kelly R. Ross; Executive Director – Ross was hired as executive director for Lake Country Soccer in July, 2006. Ross most recently served as the executive director for the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (Milwaukee) between 1997 and 2006. He holds a Master of Education degree in Sport Management, Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH., 1997, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communication & Journalism from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Mo., 1990.
