It’s a pretty interesting weekend. The USL W-League (one of two Women’s professional leagues) will have the semifinals broadcast live this evening on Fox Soccer Channel and the final will be broadcast on a tape delayed basis Sunday. Saturday we get the MLS All-Star game against Chelsea and Sunday has a couple of international friendlies of note, including Barcelona and Boca Juniors.
And if you’re looking for a reason to take in the MLS All-Star game, how about this quote from one of my all-time MLS favorite players (remember, I’m a Chicago Fire fan!), Piotr Nowak - “Chelsea is very competitive. They’ll put out their best 11. Their coach is all about winning. So am I.
