News out of Kansas City indicates the Bob Gansler has resigned as head coach of the Kansas City Wizards. Gansler was with KC for seven seasons, earning MLS Coach of the Year twice as well as leading the Wizards to a US Open Cup title and the MLS championship. Gansler was also the US Men’s National Team Coach from 1989-1991, leading them to the 1990 World Cup.
Assistant Coach Brian Bliss takes over head coaching duties. The Wizards next game is this weekend against the New York Red Bulls, another team with a new coach (Bruce Arena).
