Kelly Ross joins Lake Country Soccer

Lake Country Executive Director Kelly Ross

Folks, I’d like to introduce you to the new Executive Director at Lake Country Soccer, Mr. Kelly Ross. Kelly begin work on Monday and is getting oriented to his new home. He comes to Lake Country Soccer from the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association where he was the State Director. His final responsibilities there included hosting the recent Region 2 Tournament.

Kelly’s got a soccer background that includes playing and coaching experience in Missouri. He played college soccer at Rockhurst University during the 1987 & 1988 season. He spent several years as a college soccer coach at UMKC in the early 90′s. He also holds a National Referee’s license that included several years working Major League Soccer (MLS) games as well as Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) experience, which he is still active in.

I know he and the Lake Country Soccer board and staff have big plans for expanding the services available to the soccer community. While he was kind enough to give me some time Wednesday when I dropped by, I’m saving the in-depth interview for early August after he’s had some time to get acquainted with the Springfield Soccer community. In the meantime, I’d highly recommend you introduce yourself and welcome Kelly personally.
