Good news from Indianapolis this weekend. The Springfield Soccer Club U15 boys team took second place in the four team round robin playoffs. That earned them promotion to the Premier Division of the Midwest Regional League. The U16 Premier Division they will play in next Spring will include the Scott Gallagher SC (recent State Champions) and Lou Fusz Popovic teams as well. Very elite company.
I’ll get a photo of this team to share with you very soon (parents?), as they offered some of the best soccer I have seen this year. Their 0-1 loss to ultimate champion Scott Gallagher in the semifinals at the Missouri State Cup, on a goal scored in OT, was a classic.
