Folks, I’ve confirmed arrangements with The Fox & Hound to provide a soccer friendly viewing environment
this month so that Springfield Soccer readers will have a place to congragate and enjoy the games together. Events Coordinator Christa Lane phrases it thusly:
We are a World Cup friendly environment for viewing all the games this month. For a limited time if you can gather 15 to 20 people for watching the game call Christa @ 800-229-2118 xt. 5021 and we will supply your group with complimentary appetizers. (Grand Champion Wings, Chips & Salsa, Thin-crust pizzas, and 2 hours of pool) Food is portioned out to the amount of people. You must call at least 24 hours in advance. Drinks, extra food, extra pool time and gratuity not included.
Must be 21 or accompanied by a parent or guardian. Must present coupon at time of game.
The coupon she references is a 4×6 card we have created but if you call in advance and reference this story, I’m confident she’ll take care of your team or group. And note - the groups will just enhance the environment. If you are 1 or a dozen, head down to the Fox & Hound and you are certain to find like-minded individuals taking in the games.
The Fox & Hound is located at 2035 E. Independence, near the Wal-Mart on the south side. For our out-of-town readers, from the soccer fields go West on Chestnut Expressway to Glenstone (first major intersection) and turn South (left). Approximately five miles, when you see Home Depot turn right at the light onto Independence. The Fox & Hound will be on your right, about three field lenghts down. Again, remind them you heard/read about the offer from Springfield Soccer. I’m in line to earn a couple of free meals from the deal but the primary motivation, as always, is to build the soccer community in the region. Do your part!
