Lee’s Summit West Titan’s and the Visitation Academy Vivettes ended their championship match Saturday in a 0-0 tie following four overtime periods and were named co-Champions. Thus the game qualifies as a repeat for the Titan’s, who move up to Class 2 next year. For the Vivettes, it’s two out of three, with six seniors who also started in the Championship win over Springfield Catholic in 2004. Rosati-Kaintook third with their win over Timberland, who will also move up to Class 2 in 2007. Update – The KC Star offers an excellent look at the game.
For Class 2 St. Teresa’s, it’ four out of five as they knocked off the public school upstarts, Ft. Zumwalt West by a 4-0 score. St. Joe’s Academy shut out Lafayett 3-0 to earn third. Update – The KC Star brings some West end pride to the description of St. Teresa’s title win.
