The Kickapoo Chiefs defeated the Glendale Falcons this evening by the score of 2-0 to reach the Quarterfinals of the Missouri Class 2 Girls Soccer tournament. The game winner came in the 33rd minute from a set piece, after freshman Jessica Roberts was fouled just outside the box. Working a well rehearsed piece, senior captain Afton Weimer touched the ball to sophomore Katy McLain (pictured above) who moved three steps to her right before releasing her shot that saw he ball move through a crowd of onrushing defenders and into the upper left corner of the net beyond the diving keepers reach.
