Lake Country Soccer

Springfield SC U9 Derby
The Spring Youth League ended Sunday with with some good action on the field. Whenever I come by to take in some of the younger crowd, I’m more and more impressed. As the photo above indicates (a Springfield SC U9 match between the White & Red squads) there is no lack of competitive drive and enthuasiasm for the sport. Woo hoo! Click on the photo and you’ll find examples of the Lebanon Yellowjackets and Springfield Heat U9 squads as well.

If you want to take advantage of the Summer League opportunities, deadline for registration is Tuesday May 23rd. It includes kids from Age 4 up to and including the Adult Over 30 league. Even indoor (air conditioned *wink*) & Futsal are available.

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention – consider volunteering some time for the upcoming Missouri State Cup Soccer Tournament that Lake Country Soccer is hosting. Games begin Friday June 9th (18 days!) and any amount of time and effort will be a contribution towards Representing Springfield Soccer! You can sign up at the dome or contact Karla Conner at 886-1240 or email her at conner.p@sbcglobal.net

  1. Congrats to all of the teams who participated in league this spring. I was only able to ref late in the season due to my lacrosse commitments and have been impressed by the level of play even at the younger ages. It is a true testament to the level of play in SW Missouri.

And I noticed the counter for graduation, Ole. Are you coming out to see us off?

  2. I will be there at 9pm Nathan. Should be another great excuse to pull out my camera, don’t you think?
