Hickman Advances on PK’s

May 18, 2006 by Ole · 3 Comments

The Columbia Hickman Bruins Kewpies held on to beat the Jefferson City Helias Crusaders in a Penalty Kick shootout (at almost exactly the same time Rolla and Glendale were having theirs). Hickman prevailed in this match, winning it on the 7th shooter. The score was 0-0 through the 4 overtime periods.

The Bruins Kewpies will face the Lafayette Lancers in their Sectional on Tuesday evening in Jefferson City. Lafayette, ranked #10 in the Post-Dispatch Metro rankings and #15 in the State, defeated Eureka 1-0 to take District 9 on Wednesday. Melissa Lantz had the second-half goal and Amanda Erhardt posted the shutout as the host Lancers (18-2-1) avenged a late regular-season loss.

Hickman’s mascot is the Kewpie…not the Bruin :)

Don’t you have a final to study for? Oh wait, you’re an ex-Bruin and a senior, aren’t you. I’m almost done with the photos, hang in there :)
