I’m proud to announce that the 2nd Annual Southwest Soccer All Stars game is on! Mark the evening of June 22nd on your calendar as the night to come out and cheer 
on the best High School seniors in the region as they have one final opportunity to ‘represent’ as part of the All Star game that will be held at the Cooper Soccer Complex.
Featuring both a Boys game and a Girls game this year, nominations are currently being solicited from the coaches. There are 30 Boys teams (7 Class 1, 10 Class 2 & 13 Class 3) and 21 Girls teams (8 Class 1, 13 Class 2) who compete in the Springfield Soccer region. The coaches from these teams will be submitting their player nominations to the evaluation committee. Final rosters will be announced following the Memorial Day weekend. The teams will be coached by All Star coaches, invitations will be going out shortly recognizing team success and support for the growth of soccer in the region.

Jake Basecke, a member of the News-Leader All Ozarks squad last year, was pictured in the article about the first game held in December 2004. In my conversations with him, it was one of the top 3 memories he has from his high school career!
