I stumbled across an interesting article on the University of Missouri – Rolla’s goalkeeper, Brittany Parker. Brittany, who was an All Conference goalkeeper in the Des Moines area (Johnston) was recruited to play at UMR. She surprised her parents when she chose to pursue a Mining degree from the former Missouri School of Mines. Turns out she also took up ‘mucking’ which entails, well, I’ll let the Des Moines Register explain it all.
Brittany is the 2nd team All-GLVC goalkeeper so I’d say they already have a good feel for how competitive and strong she is.
