The Steamers play host to the Baltimore Blast on Sunday at Savvis Center in the deciding second game of the MISL finals. The final game is slated for 12:05 p.m. Sunday at Savvis and will be shown on ESPN2 live.
With the Baltimore Blast’s win in the first game in Baltimore Friday, the Steamers will need to win Sunday’s game as well as a sudden-death session immediately following the second game to determine the championship. The finals originally were scheduled as a best-of-three series, but the format was switched to a best-of-two when ESPN2 picked up the broadcast of the finals.
The Post-Dispatch notes that a split is possible. The Steamers and Blast went 3-3 in the season series, with each team remaining perfect at home.
