With the news of Josh Scott’s planned move to Waynesville this Fall to take on the head coaching position, I thought I’d dig into what other openings might exist. These listings are from the Missouri Soccer Coaches website:
Nixa is looking for a Boys Assistant Coach for this fall. The stipend is approximately $2700. For more information contact Evan Palmer at epalmer@mail.nixa.k12.mo.us.
Waynesville High School (Class 3) has an opening for 2006/7 for a Boys Assistant Soccer coach position. It pays 10% of salary (approx. $3000 for a first year coach/teacher). If interested, and for more information, please contact: John Morrison, jmorrison@waynesville.k12.mo.us, (573) 774-2850
I believe there may also be a Class 3 boys head coach position and a Boys Class 2 head coach position that will open up along with the possibility of a Class 2 girls head coach position. I would expect that Coach Howard in Rolla will also be looking for an assistant. As those of us with a bit more wear on our tread have discovered, these listings may be a mere formality. Alternately you have to ask for the order if you want to be in the game. These would both be fine opportunities.

Well, I guess that means we have to wait a bit longer before more details are forthcoming, eh Coach.
I beleive that College Heights (class 1, Joplin) is currently without a head coach as well. Former coach, Dan Lewis, has taken the position as the principal.
