I don’t know how many of you are familar with the KC Soccer Net site that covers KC soccer, but it can be useful for tracking scores of teams in that area. Just don’t get me started on the registration model the site has chosen to use. But I digress…
The fellow who runs the site is Dan Peak and he’s obviously a futbol fan. As is his son, AJ Peak, who has chosen to attend Missouri State University. I know AJ was also looking at Drury so the Peak’s must be fans of Southwest Missouri soccer, always a nice thing to see and therefore a good addition for our area. AJ plays at Park Hill South, for Joe Toigo, who will be bringing his girls team to town for the Kickapoo Shootout this weekend. We’ve seen AJ at the Boys Shootout as well as the SMSU (now MSU) Soccer Camps (picture above left) where he was a member of the All Star squad this past summer. He is also a member of the U17 State Champion KC Pace, a team the Springfield SC faced in a semifinal loss last summer.
