The Camdenton Lady Lakers beat Nixa on Monday by the score of 4-2. From the new Lady Lakers site:
The Lady Lakers got their first win of the season even after falling behind early in the match 1-0. Senior Hayley Christensen tied the match up just 4 minutes after Nixa scored its first goal of the match. In the second half, senior Chelsea Williams scored a go-ahead goal, but Nixa promptly scored again tying the match up at 2 apiece. Christensen scored the game winner with 15 minutes left to play in the contest and Senior Jenny Melton scored a late insurance goal. Melton’s goal went along nicely with her 2 assists on the evening.
West Plains visited Ozark and the hosts got the points with their 6-3 win. Megan Minor scored in the 8th and 9th minute for the Tigers after Jessica Brixey got her 3rd goal in three games in the 2nd minute to give the Zizzers the early lead. Also scoring for Ozark were Melissa Hogan, Caitlin Germeroth and Erica Hogan with Megan getting a third goal in the second half. Jessica Brixey scored a second goal on a PK late in the second and Michelle Esterle, assisted by Jessica and Kerri Walker scored in the 71st.
Catholic beat Parkview 3-1 at Parkview. Freshman Anna Delong scored her fifth goal in six games, Tara Bailes got her sixth goal and Sarah Martin scored for the Fightin’ Irish as well. Parkview’s Sydney Dale scored for the Vikings.
Lebanon visited Bolivar in a rematch between opponents in the Waynesville Tourney. The Yellowjackets earned a 7-0 shutout this time with Brianna Ragains getting two, including the game winner early in the first half. Other scorers included Hedgepeth, Shurbert, Stone and Starnes who also scored twice.
