While I was enjoying the soccer played at the Metro United College Showcase over the weekend, I also had the opportunity to get reacquainted with some coaches from the region. The Roblee’s are based in the KC area where Jefferson is the full time men’s and women’s assistant coach at William Jewell College (where Parkview’s Katie Brooks represents Springfield Soccer) while his twin brother Lincoln is the Head Coach of Women’s Soccer at Benedictine College. That is on top of coaching the KC Brass PDL team and the KC Pace select teams. The fellows forwarded the following information on a Youth Tournament they are supporting as well.
The second annual United Cup youth tournament will take place on May 19-21 in Liberty, Missouri. The event takes place on the beautiful campus of William Jewell College. Last year’s initial event was a huge success. Whether your team gets scheduled under the lights on the William Jewell College stadium field-turf, gets to play on the William Jewell College grass game field or has your games on the William Jewell College soccer practice fields, everyone enjoys the quality of the facility and the clean, competitive atmosphere of the United Cup. For additional information please contact tournament director Jefferson Roblee at firstname.lastname@example.org .
The application indicates they will be hosting teams from U9 up to U18 it looks like. They are still accepting teams so if you are looking for another competitive opportunity before Memorial Day and the State Cup, here’s an opportunity.
