I made it out to two matches Thursday, both of which were interrupted by the storm system that blew thru around rush hour. In the photo above, senior Jackie Sabel of the Chief’s is making a run into the box from her midfield position, while being closely tracked by the Zizzer’s junior sweeper, Jessica Brixey. This early season Ozarks Conference match ended at 8-0 to the Chief’s, who busted the game open with three quick goals after returning for the final 15 minutes of the first half. Update – don’t miss the News-Leader in-depth look at this years team and their motivation.
In another local match, the Central Bulldogs visited the Parkview Viking’s. The Bulldogs scored first, getting on the board midway through the first half on a goal by Nada. The hosts tied the match in the 33rd minute when senior captain Laura Robb, coming up from midfield position, lofted a ball from outside the box over the outstretched hands of the keeper. The score was knotted at 1-1 going into the second half, following a rain delay. Update – the game ended in a 1-1 tie after regulation.

Ole,
Can we purchase the pics from flickr? Thanks
Aren’t the scrapbooks already full Jane? Nothing’s changed, you can still download all photos for free. Click on the photo you are interested in, then choose “all sizes” above the photo, that will take you to the next view which allows you to download the photo.
Flickr does offer printing services now as well which you can take advantage of. I believe you need to join (create a Flickr site with a Yahoo email address, all free) and I have set up my photos to be available for public printing use. If you have any problems, call me at 849-2508
Steve,
If you enable people to buy your Flickr photos, then they can order prints through Flickr that can be picked up at Target or sent to the house by mail. To do this, the buyer must have a Flickr account.
