Congratulations to the Springfield SC Girls U14 team who won their age group today at the Lake Country Soccer St. Pat’s Classic Tournament. By defeating the Little Rock FC team twice today, 1-0 this morning in pool play and 2-1 in the title match this afternoon, they completed their weekend undefeated. The goals in the final were scored by Megan Melugin on a wonderful direct kick from outside the box with the second coming from Sandy (?) Stewart.

Today was also another a great example of prognostication by our local weather forecasters. Sort of like me picking soccer winners 
Update - Congratulations as well to Spring High Select, our newest boys team, who won the U17/U18 age group this weekend in their first outing as a club. The boys beat Emil Dragicevic in the final 2-0. Their overall advantage in four games was 16-1, giving up one goal in an 8-1 win against SW MO Lightning.
