It looks like the sports energy drink Gatorade has some big competition — from a cow. Indiana University researchers found chocolate milk — with its protein, amino acids and carbohydrates — worked best to re-invigorate athletes. The study showed that cyclists who drank chocolate milk in between workouts rode about as long as those that drank Gatorade. And 50 percent longer than those who had another sports energy drink.

That’s an interesting finding. Milk is just too heavy - if Milk and Gatorade are about the same - I’d still choose Gatorade since its lighter on the stomach during a workout. The idea of gulping milk in the middle of exercise makes me want to hurl!
What I find interesting is the finding that Gatorade drinkers performed better than those that drank other sports drinks.
