Women’s Soccer in the Ozarks

Lake Country Soccer - Over30
I thought I’d explore the Adult soccer outlets a bit more given the recent interest so I headed out to the Lake Country Soccer facility Friday evening to catch a couple of Over 30 leagues. The photo above reflects the women’s league, in this case the Margarita Mama’s taking on Just 4 Kicks. That was followed by a Men’s match and a swap in responsibilities for who was going to watch the kids it seemed as it was very much a family affair. For information on these leagues and the Adult Open League, visit the Lake Country Soccer website.

I’d love to play in the O-30 or co-ed league in the spring season but the LCS website doesn’t offer much information about individual registration. I wish they’d have a classified section for players looking for teams or vice versa.

Danny - the folks at Lake Country Soccer are still learning how to use their website so you are right, there isn’t much there for the ‘orphan’. However, I am confident that they will help you find a group to join if you give them your contact information. From what I’ve seen, the majority of the teams would love to have an experienced player committed to showing up for their games. Contact Katie Ellsworth.

Who knows, maybe someone will read this and reach out as well :) Assuming you could play with a Spurs fan for example, eh Rich?

Aaron - Lake Country soccer runs the Adult League. I’ve linked to their site in the article, click on it and get the phone number or the address. There is someone there every evening and all weekend usually.

I am currently attending missouri state and am looking for an indoor or outdoor adult league team. i played on jv and varisty highschool level (helias highschool, injury half way through last season of playing) , but decided to spend more time on my school work my first year of college. however, i love this game and i need it. however i do not know much about the leagues around springfield, i played intermurals but wasnt pleased at the lack of rules and seriousness. so i found out about the indoor league and plan on playing that and am looking for a team (20, male, 165lbs, 6-0 ft, cam, striker/forward) i am very dedicated to the game and will rarely miss practice.
also, why isnt there an adult or open outdoor league where its 11 on 11. i know plenty of people who would play that. i see that there is one like only for hispanics, why not make it an open league for everyone?
any help would be greatly appreciated
