Indoor Girls
Caught the final night of High School Girls indoor soccer at Lake Country Monday night, in this case JB Marine going against Total Soccer. It was a spirited battle and included some middle school girls in the mix who all contributed.
Practice begins for the High School season next Monday so time to head outdoors again. Hallelujah!
On a side note, I’d recommend you not let Jessie Yach of Nixa get a good look inside the 18 yard box this season. Then again, most area coaches already knew that.
Kreamalmeyer Released by RSL
ESPN Soccernet notes that Real Salt Lake released six players this week as they narrow their roster leading up to the opening of the MLS season. One of them is St. Louis-area native Luke Kreamalmeyer who played at Metro United FC in Collinsville and won an Illinois State title while scoring the game-tying goal for Edwardsville HS. From the article:
Kreamalmeyer was the 37th overall pick in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft after impressing the RSL coaching staff during the 2005 adidas/MLS Combine and being named the combine’s MVP. The Bradley University product competed in six games, with two starts, and tallied one assist for the 2005 expansion club. Lookingland was the thirteenth overall selection in the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft and appeared in one game for Real during its 2005 campaign.
