The US Men’s National Team have two qualifying matches remaining, including tonight’s (Sat) game against Costa Rica. Having already qualified for Germany 2006, the US has brought a group that includes 16 current or former MLS players. In that group, there are have a group there are seven players who earned their first cap in the recent game against Guatamala and five hoping to earn their first caps.
The reason to watch the match? Costa Rica is currently third and a win tonight will guarantee them a spot in the World Cup. The US is 0-5-1 in Costa Rica and the last time these two teams faced each other in a similar situation, Costa Rica won and was the first team to qualify for WC 2002.
The game will be broadcast at 9pm CST on ESPN2 on a one hour delay.
