The Lamar Hunt Open Cup final is tonight and features the LA Galaxy against FC Dallas. The game will be broadcast on GolTV, including a one hour pregame show. Kickoff is 10 pm CDT.

On the heels of the most recent Southwest Region Poll, and at the mid-point of the season, all ten Ozark Conference teams faced off this evening. The big news comes from West Plains where the visiting Parkview Vikings were upset this evening, losing in the 97th minute to the host team. The final score was 3-2 Zizzers! More detail to come.
There was one game locally as the Lebanon Yellowjackets were visiting Glendale on Senior night. Senior captain Andrew Parsons, pictured at left, scored two second half goals to go with two goals from Danny Collins in the first half to give the Falcons the 4-0 win. One week away from the big match up and Glendale has improved their standing in the poll. As you may recall from the initial regional poll the Falcons stood at 30 points while the Chiefs earned 29. The biggest mover is Waynesville, on the heels of their win over Parkview and the Bolivar Classic, the Tigers have moved onto the list in a solid fourth position.
From an individual standpoint, senior Ben Hamilton has jumped in front of Nick Dryden and Joey Ekstam with 11 goals scored while Sam Westervelt is showing himself to be a multifacted weapon with 25 points from 8 goals and 9 assists.

Drury, playing a make up game due to unplayable field conditions Sunday in Rolla, played host to the Lady Miners tonight at Harrison Stadium. The game had to wait for the Central vs Nixa match (6-2 Central) as well as the men’s game, meaning a start after 8pm and a bus ride home around 10:30pm for the Miners. The game was won in the final minutes of the first half when Melissa Perry’s shot from 25 yards handcuffed the keeper and Tara Davis pushed the ball into the net after collecting the rebound.

The Drury Panthers earned their first GLVC win this evening when they defeated the UM-Rolla Miner’s 3-2. Scott Deal had a hat trick in the game, getting the game winning goal in the 85th minute when Dusty Evans won a 50-50 ball and pushed it to him at the top of the box.
