Folks, I have to admit to having been distracted this evening. One factor is learning how to manage the volume of information that is an important part of covering the games. I am a fan, a former player & coach, a photographer and a videographer. I am not a journalist in the traditional sense however. I’m learning how to do this as I do it. All I can ask is for your continued support, which has been fantastic by the way. Thank you to the many folks who took the time to let me know how much they enjoy my site as I covered the games this evening.
My problems pale in comparison however. The destruction of the town and the way of life known as N’awlins has a personal connotation for me. I have a close friend with wife and 10 month old baby and the family of another very close friend (I was his best man last October in Hilton Head) who live in the city of New Orleans. It is hard to concentrate on futbol this evening while the stories pour in. I know I am not the only one in this situation. Please take the time to consider what your life would be like if you were uprooted with less then a week to prepare. Act on your values. Thank you.
