It’s official folks. The St. Louis Soccer Club U15 girls, including Kickapoo midfield Chealsey Russell, shown in a District semifinal match at left, won the national championship for their age group today.
Update from National Championship site – For the Under-15 Girls of the St. Louis Soccer Club, Amelia Beger jumped higher than the pack for the header in the 80th minute to claim the Kristine Lilly Cup over PDA Power, 1:0.

Congratulations to the STLSC U15 girls for winning the USYSA National Championship 1-0 vs PDA Power from New Jersey.
Blake Miller scored the winning goal in the first over time period to give STLSC their 14th National title.Blake won the Golden Boot award which is given to the most valuable player in the tournament. Claire Levercheck won the goal keeper of the tournament award. The team is coached by Blakes father Gary Miller.
Tournament results show three Midwestern teams winning championships with the IL Eclipse Select U17 girls and IL Sockers FC U19 boys joining the Missouri girls. Of the 12 championships contested, five were won by California teams, two by Texas teams and two by MA teams (you try and spell that on a Sunday evening).
